Burnfort National School is a co-educational Primary School with an enrolment of 109 pupils. The school caters for pupils from Junior Infants to Sixth Class.
We are situated in Burnfort Village, beside the church of St. John the Baptist. The school has a strong Catholic Ethos, but welcomes children of all Religions. It is a modern building, recently refurbished and extended. The facilities include five mainstream classrooms, a general purpose room, staff room, two resource rooms, and a multi-purpose room. Burnfort National School has a great sporting tradition with children of all ages participating in GAA, Swimming, Gymnastics, Orienteering and many other sports on a regular basis. We aim to develop pupils holistically and emphasise many sporting, musical and artistic activities throughout the school.
We have created a friendly and warm atmosphere in the school and this is supported through our school motto;
‘Treat others as you would like them to treat you’.
We hope that you enjoy our website and are witness to the many wonderful activities that are on-going in our school.
