 Team Hope Christmas shoebox appeal 2021

On Tuesday 9th November representatives of Team Hope collected Christmas Shoeboxes from the pupils of Burnfort N.S. They were delighted to collected 49 gift filled Christmas shoeboxes and were very grateful also for the shoeboxes which were filled online. These gifts will now be sent to children affected by poverty in Africa and Eastern Europe.

National Cycle Safety Week

Last week was National Cycle Safety week. To mark the week we officially opened our new bike rack on Friday 17th September 2021. Community Garda John Fitzgerald came to cut the ribbon and to tell us a bit about cycling safely on our roads. The children had loads of questions for the garda. He was very impressed with the numbers who cycle to school and to see them wearing their helmets and hi- vis jackets. The bike shelter has been a great addition to our school and is being well utilised which is fantastic to see.
