Science week 2020

This week we got to put our science hats on as we partook in a number of experiments and investigations as part of science week. 

First up, we investigated whether materials were 'transparent', 'translucent' or 'opaque'. Some may think that these were big words for boys and girls in 1st and 2nd class but we were up to the challenge!

.Next up, we were given the chance to create our own greenhouses. From our last experiment we knew that the cup at the top of our greenhouse would have to be transparent or at least translucent. This would allow the light to  pass through it to help the plant to grow from seed. 

We're very excited to see how our sweet pea seeds get on in our greenhouses over the next few weeks. We're looking forward to seeing a colourful classroom of sweet pea plants next April or May. We'll keep you posted!
